Real Mallorca continued their good start with a 1-0 victory over Racing. Racing had come into this game having dropped two vital points last week. One goal was all it took to settle this and it was Cameroonian Pierre Webó who got his name on the score sheet after 18 minutes.
Racing Santander who included Luís García, Óscar Serrano and Pedro Munitis in their XI had been undone for the 2nd week in a row.
