With Marseille in rampent mood by winning 6-1 against Zurich both sides had to get soemthing from the game here.
Real Madrid having been beaten by Milan two weeks ago were looking for revenge. The seemed on course for it when Karim Benzema put Madrid 1-0 in front on 29 minutes. But that lead was short lived when Ronaldinho levelled from the spot on 35 minutes. Both sides played some good football but chances were being wasted by both. In the end a point may be a fair result but for Real Madrid and AC Milan is was a chance missed for either to take control of the group. The table is as you were before kick-off but with Marseille in 3rd with six points just a single point behind both AC Milan and Real Madrid. FC Zurich are 4th with three points.
