La Liga Preview 22nd November

After Real Madrid re-claimed top spot from Barcelona last night attention turns to the bottom half of the table. A few teams continue to struggle while Villarreal look for another win.

Espanyol v Getafe: 17:00:
Espanyol play Getafe with both needing points to move up the table. Espanyol are 9th comming into the game while Getafe are three places behind them. A win for either could move them into 8th place.

Real Mallorca v Almería: 17:00:
Real Mallorca are currently 6th and need the points to remain there tonight. Visitors Almería need the points to improve on their current position of 11th. The Islanders are in fine form and another win will do nicely.

Villarreal v Real Valladolid: 17:00:
The Yellow Submarine face another key game as they aim to climb the table on the back of their poor form earlier in the season. Defeated 3-2 at Sevilla last time out, Villarreal need victory over Real Valladolid to move into 13th depending on other results. Valladolid themselves haven't set the world alight and are just two places better off than the hosts.

Xerez v Sporting Gijón: 17:00:
This is a game that Sporting should win to ove into the top six. Xerez may be bottom but will have the desire to get points on the board soon. 19th at the moment the Andalusians will be going to Gijón with three points on their mind.

Málaga v Real Zaragoza: 19:00:
Bottom of the table and in need of points, Málaga come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw away to Tenerife two weeks ago. Real Zaragoza will be though to beat and currently lie in 13th place.

Osasuna v Valencia: 21:00:
Valencia know that a win will move them back into 4th place but they also know that Osasuna have held Barcelona in Pamplona and will be a though nut to crack. The Basques also lie in 10th and are looking good at home. Valencia will hope the big names will shine.
