Athletic Bilbao followed up last week's point at home to Barcelona by putting Almerís to the sword here. Javí Martínez put the Basques in front on 37 minutes before Ustaritz made it 2-0 on 41 minutes.
After the break Bilbao didn't stop attacking and made it 3-0 on the hour mark when Fernando Llorente found the net. Óscar De Marcós made it 4-0 on 77 minutes before Kalu Uche converted a penalty on 84 minutes for the home side.
