Athletic Bilbao are another side lying in the top half after another victory away to Racing. Having drew 1-1 on Thursday against Nacional, Athletic were looking to follow that with a victory.
The victory they got with Carlos Gurpegi giving them the lead on 31 minutes. 75 minutes in and Andoni Iraola converted a penalty for 2-0. Iraola, who made the Spain squad last month continues his fine season.
Racing in 17th while Athletic are up to 8th.
