Deportivo overcame the challenge of Getafe as they secured the three points despite later being reduced to nine men. Former Valencia striker Mista gave the visitors the lead on 13 minutes a lead that stayed until just before the hour-mark when Filipe made it 2-0.
Getafe pushed and Deportivo began to crumble when Sergio was sent-off to join Riki, who was sent-off in the first-half. Deportivo are 4th.
