Copa Del Rey 5th round 1st legs Round-up

Barcelona v Sevilla:
A shock indeed with Sevilla on a strange run of form in the league. Diego Capel gave the Andalusians the lead before Zlatan Ibrahimovic leveled. Former Real Madrid player Álvaro Negredo converted a penalty that secured a vital 2-1 away win.

Celta Vigo v Villarreal:
Segunda side Celta Vigo earned a good 1-1 draw against the Yellow submarine which leaves them with every chance to go through. Giuseppi Rossi gave them the lead before Arthuro leveled.

Alcorcón v Racing Santander:
The side that embarresed Real Madrid have it all to do as they were defeated 3-2 by Racing at home. Despite goals from Inigo López and Borja Gómez the Segunda B side were undone by Christian Fernández, Alex Geijo and José Moratón goals.

Valencia v Deportivo:
Deportivo were 2-1 victors at the Mestalla which will leave them in a good position next week. Andrés Guardado and Pablo Álvarez which secured the win. David Silva pulled one back late on.

Recreativo v Atlético Madrid:
The big shock of the round was this game. Segunda side Recreativo, relegated from La Liga last season effectivly put an end to the chances of Atlético. Bruno Fornaroli, Jeronimo Barrales penalty and Daniel Candeias secured the fantastic 3-0 win. Tomas Ujfalusi was sent-off early on which set the tone.

Hércules v Osasuna:
Hércules leading the way in the Segunda secured a 2-1 win over Osasuna which means that they have a chance of progressing. Cristian and Joseba Del Ormo forced a 2-1 win with Jorge Galán pulling one back.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Mallorca:
Míchel and Collantes were the heroes for the Madrid side but Mallorca are still very much in the tie thanks to Julio Álvarez's goals. Felipe Mattioni will be suspended having been sent-off here.

Málaga v Getafe:
Málaga will take a slender advantage to Madrid after coming away with a 2-1 win here. Apono and Edinho goals will be vital to this tie. Milan Stepanov's own goal will have a say in the tie.
